Yarra Yering Carrodus Pinot Noir 2020

A small bottling of the original pinot noir vines planted in 1969. Fully destemmed with some stalks added back to the 600kg fermenters. Matured 10 months in French oak, 40% new. A medium-deep crimson purple. Focussed with strawberries and other red fruits, along with a little spice from the well-handled oak. On the palate this has real power and density, with a core of sweet, darker fruits and savoury, ripe and long tannins.
