Vaira Aurelj Langhe Nebbiolo 2024

100% Nebbiolo, Lampia clone, from a tiny 0.30-hectare vineyard in Vergne at 330 metres, planted on calcareous-clay soils. Farmed organically though uncertified, with cover crops and no pesticides or synthetic chemical treatments. The 2024 fruit was fully destemmed due to the rainy conditions, then spontaneously fermented with ambient yeasts and aged for nine months in concrete, followed by a further six months in bottle. The result is a pure, transparent expression of Nebbiolo, with concrete preserving freshness and perfume without adding the influence of oak.
