Bottled bone dry and with 13.5% stated alcohol, the Trimbach 2020 Riesling Reserve unites the domaine's fruit of Ribeauville and Bergheim to a dense and tightly knit, rather robust classic with concentrated fruit representing the old vines on limestone soils. The wine is powerful and grippy and reveals remarkable acidity, yet I find the finish a bit astringent or at least drying. 40,000 bottles produced.
