Tenuta Delle Terre Nere Etna Etna Bianco 2024

There is a lot going on in Terre Nere’s so-called ‘entry level’ bianco with the wine somehow melding Mediterranean flavours with alpine freshness. Citrus fruit, particularly notes of lemon curd and lemon balm jump out on the nose and palate. Texturally the balminess first picked up on comes across as a waxy element, juxtaposed by a salt-rim crust to the wine which brings suggestion of the nearby Mediterranean Ocean. – Ches Cook, Five Way Cellars.
