Ten Minutes By Tractor 'Wallis' Chardonnay 2022

Wallis Chardonnay was my pick of the whites from last week's masterclass. It's a wine defined by crystalline purity and transparency. While McCutcheon is riper with more obvious richness and stone fruit character, Wallis is about citrus tones, chalk and salinity. It's got a bit of pulpy extract in the back half, contributing palate weight and grippy texture. A very serious wine that can match it with some great examples from France. - Ches Cook, FWC.
