Sordo Barolo 2021
Made with 80% fruit from La Morra from an excellent vintage in Barolo. Bursting with red cherry and red liquorice on the nose and a clear definition of fruits on the palate. Excellent entry level Barolo from this producer with soft plush tannin and brimming with energy, plenty of interest at this price point. Cameron Roebuck, FWC.
Medium-depth of brick-red with a tinge of purple at the rim. Assorted dried flowers, dried herbs, mushroom stock, baked earth and terracotta, slight bituminous notes, a complex and charming, typical Barolo bouquet. Lovely mouth-feel and fleshy richness, medium bodied and supple, the texture a highlight but it's also super-complex and gives an awful lot of Barolo for the price. Already very accessible. 93 points, Huon Hooke, the Real Review.
