Restless Bunch Experiment Cabernet Franc 2022

The new kids on the block are RBE from Macedon in Victoria. Restless Bunch Experiment are Alex Gaffey and Jacob Swainz who work as viticulturists for Mac Forbes in the Yarra Valley, while working on RBE as a side project. They're using their skills learnt in the Yarra and applying them to fruit sourced out of Macedon. Here they're working with Cabernet Franc, producing a light but lasting red with blue floral aromas, classic tea leaf tannin and an array of blue fruit on the palate. It's got a delicate edge which adds to the alure and approachability of the wine. A wine of detail and subtlety with immense enjoyment on offer. - Ches Cook, FWC.
