Poggerino Chianti Classico 2022

The 2022 release is a delicious wine. We put it on tasting for customers in late September 2024 and it impressed for its balance of concentrated fruit inside a fairly effortless package. It shows cherry pip and black cherry, dried herb and then a well-judged level of tannin. It shows the generosity of the warm vintage but without excessive alcohol or extract. A sign of a good wine is one that i take home with me at the end of the day's tasting - this was one of those. - Ches Cook, FWC.
