Pietradolce 'Archineri' Etna Bianco 2023
From Contrada Caselle on the Eastern slopes of Etna, considered the cru zone for Carricante and Etna Bianco. This is 100% Carricante from bush trained pre-phylloxera vines aged 100-120 years old at an altitude of 850 metres. Carricante takes its name from carico, meaning 'charged, loaded, burdened' which refers to the abundant fruit on the vine. Vinification and maturation are in stainless steel and the wine shows floral and lemon notes with mineral and chalk, the crisp palate is refreshing and layered with texture.
..After gentle pressing, the wine ages in steel and rests in the bottle for 12 months. The result is a wine that stands out for its expressive mineral traits, a rich and sinuous palate, and long aging potential. Winery Note.
Pronounced, bright straw yellow. Delicate bouquet, with notes of crunchy stone fruit, some lemon zest and a hint of wet stone on the finish. Delicately fruity on the palate, pleasantly fresh and juicy, with a lingering, slightly salty finish.

The sliced-apple, flower and flint aromas come through clearly here. Medium- to full-bodied with a lovely character and vibrancy, this is focused and poised, showing plenty of fruit and a bright finish. Drink now.
