Marsala is a town in Western Sicily & Pellegrino is one of the most famous producers in the region. This particular wine is semi - sweet.
Marsala is a fortified wine made with local and mostly unknown grapes such as Inzolila, Grillo and Cataratto. Sweet with a straight-forward fruitiness it is used in numerous receipes but is also quite nice as a dessert wine (slightly chilled).
