More open than is usual for this wine – courtesy of the compact 2016 vintage. Ripe, white & yellow stone fruits, some flintiness, mixed with nougat, pecan & almond. There is a beautiful textural element to this year’s Triolet underpinned by some chalky acidity that pushes out to the long, complex finish. The weight sits just right & the dry, savoury aftertaste, makes another glass all too easy. Highly recommended. - Todd Slater, FWC.
