Moorak 'Carey Gully' Chardonnay 2024

Jordan from Moorak popped into the store in August to show us his latest releases and the wines are going from strength to strength. 

Hand picked, whole bunch pressed, fermented in barrel with natural yeasts it spent 10 months on gross lees. Showing a bit more concentration and intensity perhaps than the 2023.  Notes of toast, gun flint, hazelnuts with a core of citrus fruit with the added layer of textural elements from the time on lees. There's excellent length and a nice interplay between the tangy acidity and the core fruit, delicious drinking. Cameron Roebuck, FWC.
