A background dollop of menthol does not interfere with the appreciation of the equally ripe aromas of cassis, spicy black raspberry and rose petal that are trimmed in soft spice and earth wisps. The mouthfeel of the bigger-bodied flavors is rich yet quite sleek though with more evident minerality on the firm, well-detailed and solidly complex finale that goes on and on. As is often the case, this is presently compact, serious and absolutely built to repay extended keeping.
