Little Giant Shiraz 2024
Siegersdorf Vineyards in the Barossa Valley is a sustainably managed, dry-grown vineyard on the valley floor of the Barossa. The vineyard’s soil, valley floor climate and east-west row orientation ensures a warm site with afternoon sun for ripening full-flavoured fruit. The vines’ 105 year-old age means they are low-yielding, producing superb fruit concentration and flavour. 100% hand-picked, the fruit was naturally fermented in an open top fermenter for 22 days with only hand and foot plunging.
The wine was matured in large French oak puncheons for 18 months before being blended and bottled without fining or filtrations.
Tasting Note:
Deep and brooding black, purple and blue fruits with layers of complexity and concentration. A multitude of mouth filling flavours pulled in line with fine integrated oak and tannins. Delicious in the short-term and will age gracefully longer term.
