La Rogerie "Champ Bouton" Grand Cru 2019
From a prime lieu-dit located next to Les Chantereines where the soils are among the shallowest in all of Avize, the 2019 Extra-Brut Blanc de Blancs Le Champs Bouton will be released next year. Unwinding in the glass with aromas of crisp stone fruit and apple mingled with notes of white flowers, blanched almonds and citrus oil, it's medium to full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with a fleshy core of fruit, vibrant acids and a pillowy mousse. I suspect its potential is even greater still than this bottle, disgorged a la vol?e for tasting, indicated.
