In Praise of Shadows 'Mankai' Grenache Graciano Touriga 2023

'Mankai' can be viewed as an entry point into the In Praise of Shadows range, being made up of 50% Grenache, 25% Graciano, 12% Monastrell and 13% Touriga. It's high in drinkability, bursting out of the gates with red cherry, gritty earth and a dusting of white and black pepper. Red fruit into blue and a nice jamon/charcuterie element in there, too. 'Mankai' translating to cherry blossom at full bloom is always our Iberian Grenache blend joined by friends. In 2023 Mankai is 50% Blewitt Springs Grenache, joined by organic & biodynamically grown Graciano and Touriga, with a splash of Mataro to flesh out the palate.

'Mankai' is a free spirited wine perfectly suited to any occasion as the delicious red fruit grenache leads with an ensemble of blue notes, hints of spice and layers of texture through the elegant and very moreish palate.
