Henri Germain Bourgogne Rouge Cote d’Or 2023

Like many great white producers, Germain is today also making fabulous reds. We rarely get an allocation as production is so small. It comes from tiny holdings—two micro-parcels in Au Jardin (the garden-like clos behind Germain’s cellar) and the evocatively named Moulin à Judas (under Les Chevalières). It’s a superb Bourgogne Rouge, chiselled and loaded with red and dark fruit notes as well as plenty of spice. Delicious! Importer’s notes.
