Grivot Bourgogne Blanc 2022

This always reminds me of a Puligny Montrachet, and it's actually a Vosne Romanee Blanc, but there is no appellation for such a white. It's mostly from La Fontaine de Vosne (next to leroy's Aux Genaivrieres and directly below Aux Reas) and 20% from Au-dessus de la Rivière also adjoining Aux Reas. This is totally barrel fermented and given careful and loving attention by the family. It ends up with power and subtle grip, but also lemony fruit with a twang of yellow fruits, a hint of reduction, spice and very fine acidity and long finish. Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy
