Granjoux Chardonnay 2024

This is pre-release (August) and I don’t yet have a price, but it’s always good to get an early sighter. This is a seriously powerful white wine. Beechworth Chardonnay really steps up to the plate here. White peach, almonds, tonic-like herb notes, cedarwood, crushed fennel and a smoky, minerally trail of flavour through the extended finish. Oak sits high in the wine at first but the charge of fruit, earth and rock notes quickly crash on through. This will be a killer wine once it’s had some extra time in bottle. 96 points. - Campbell mattinson, Wine Front.
