Garagiste Balnarring Pinot Noir 2024

The 2024 season broke the mold of three consecutive cool and wet vintages in Mornington. This is somewhat evident in the wine, with more volume, sunlight and ripeness evident here compared to recent past releases. It's been well handled though by winemaker Barney Flanders: the wine is luscious and layered in its delivery of wild red berry, cola and brown-spice flavours. There's even a lick of red liquorice and glazed black cherry. Tannin is integrated but certainly present, bringing structure and form to the wine. Recommended. - Ches Cook, Five Way Cellars.
