Frankland Estate Isolation Ridge Riesling 2025
As good as the entry level Riesling is, this is a step up. There is a real zing and fizz to the acid line, like an electric wire running through the wine. This is supported by red and green apple, plus some mandarin zest which I really enjoy seeing. It even shows some added richness in white peach or under-ripe nectarine which adds yet another dimension to the wine. Very good, very serious Riesling. - Ches Cook, Five Way Cellars.
You’d call this pristine. Beautiful, too. It’s everything you want in a riesling from this top producer, with fruit off its organically managed, exceptional vineyard. Delicate aromas of lemon blossom, quince and ginger flower with a more complex oyster shell character. Pure flavours of citrus, glacé lemon and a touch of phenolics and silky creaminess all cruising along the palate. There’s balance between texture and the vibrancy of superfine acidity. A slip of sweetness rounds out this superb wine. 97 points, drink 2026-2038, Jane Faulkner, Halliday Wine Companion.
