One of my very favourite wines from Bierzo and Spain in general. This is delcious from start to finish. Richer and more pronounced than previous vintages, with layers of sour cherry, beetroot, plum, pomengranate mountain herbs, wild flowers and smallgoods (jamon/prosuitto). It’s all there. This is fruit predomominately from the San Martin vineyard (which was previously a single bottling). A silky smooth palate that is plush and cool before fine tannins enevelope the finish. This is a benchmark wine for the variety and the region. Barolo meets Burgundy here! Highly recommended.–Todd Slater, FWC.
