Venezuelan rum, Diplomático ‘Mantuano’ is an authentic blend of rums aged for up to eight years. Opening up with aromas of dried plums, oak, caramel and a delicate spiciness, it is complex and well-balanced on the palate, following on with notes of dried fruits, woodspice and vanilla pod. It has immense softness and roundness on the palate, with alcohol only faint background noise. Best consumed neat: a rum to sip on and contemplate.
