Crawford River Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

From three cabernet sauvignon blocks planted in 1976, 1977 and 2000. Matured for 24 months in 20% new French oak. A medium, bright ruby. Nuanced cabernet aromas of blackcurrant, dark plum, tobacco leaf and some cedar from the already well-integrated oak. Medium bodied, with ripe, fine-grained tannins and good depth of fruit. This very nicely balanced wine is approachable now but has a good deal of cellaring potential over the next decade or more. 95+ points, drink 2025-2035, Phillip Rich, Halliday Wine Companion.
