Bloodwood Shiraz 2019
$44
This is the finest swag of releases that I can recall from this address. I have thoroughly enjoyed tasting the entire range. While this, perhaps, plays second fiddle to the Bordeaux grapes, it is still good. Violet, Szechuan pepper, blueberry and a swab of menthol that diffuses across the long finish. Floral, but firm. The oak, a mere addendum. Nothing drying. All components in place. 93 points, drink 2023-2032, Ned Goodwin, Halliday Wine Companion.
