Aldo Conterno 'Romirasco' Barolo 2020

Romirasco is the jewel in the crown. Lots of dried herb – especially sage – then balsamic,  chalky savoury Provencal herb opening up in layers  on both  nose and palate, followed by minerality. The is the only wine with the extra mineral note, and I love it. The longest palate – tightly knit, black cherry,  leather, brooding tannins. It’s got it all. The iron fist in the velvet glove. WOW.
