Polish Hill River. I have a Wilson tennis racquet that I don’t use nearly often enough. I like the smell of a freshly opened tin of tennis balls too, along with the noise. It’s a sensory pleasure for me.
Lime, gooseberry or kiwi fruit, some vanilla/floral perfume too, a slight smokiness in a good mezcal way. It’s juicy and full of lime and guava, a powdery feel to it, a little bit spicy too with a savoury flourish, tingly acidity, and a firm finish of excellent length. I like the crunch and point of difference here, which gets me over the line for 94 points. Gary Walsh, The Wine Front
