Villebois Loire Chenin Blanc 2023

Villebois, as an inexpensive producer, continue to impress at the value end of the market. This is a pleasantly concentrated Chenin from the Loire Valley with bronzed orchard fruit and red apple skin flavours. Acid is there but not pokey, and there is a pleasant hint of back-end texture to round the wine out. At under $30 a bottle, I'll be reaching for this time and time again. - Ches Cook, FWC.
