Shaw + Smith M3 Chardonnay 2022 Magnum

Shaw + Smith's annual yum cha event (trade only) is consistently one of the best events of the year. 90-odd people at Mr Wong for lunch as bottles from the S+S and MMAD range do the rounds. So good. During that lunch, the new 2022 M3 Chardonnay was revealed and it's looking great. It seems to continue the trend of this wine in recent years, bringing more acidity, crunch, and linearity to the wine yet without the sacrifice of fruit or flavour. You're still getting the cashew, peach, and succulent stone fruit flavours you hope to see in the wine, but this is backed up nicely by salivating acidity and enhanced freshness.
