Riley Harrison 'Sol Blanco' 2024
mclaren vale,

$40
Riley only makes the two whites: last year i was more in favour of ‘Piel’ (straight Grenache Blanc) whereas 'Sol' is the winner this time around. This blend is 55% Grenache Blanc, 40% Roussanne and 5% Picpoul. It has nice ripeness of fruit with hints at grilled nut and a slight oily texture, but the freshness of acid keeps it in good check, with ample freshness in the back-half of the wine. Very well balanced overall with no shortage of flavour or character. – Ches Cook, FWC.
Golden in the glass, complex on the nose with notes of melon, ginger herb, and pastry dough. On the palate, a talcy mouthfeel with nice expanse. Mitch Milicich, FWC
