$28
Semillon, the traditional white grape of the Hunter Valley, was first planted at Mangerton Vineyard by Alfred Wilkinson and his eldest son, Charles, in 1866. Max Drayton replanted in 1978 using cuttings from the 1899 Semillon vines on Oakey Creek Road.
This Semillon is made from several east facing blocks on the Mangerton Vineyard. Full bodied in style and ready to drink now. Tropical fruit and perfect acidity.
Hunter Valley, NSW
Lots of early drinking appeal here - the acid is a little softer than the Block 1 Semillon. The Riggs influence here - just like Brokenwood semillon - if it aint broke don't fix it. Delicious and refreshing. Ian Cook FWC
