Mac Forbes Woori Yallock 'Ferguson' Chardonnay 2020

Some nice detail in this wine: red apple, sherbert, mandarin and a herb edge to the finish. It shows crushed rock and mineral tones with a powdery, chalky close. Lots of tension in this wine that will slowly unravel over time, revealing more and more fruit and character as it softens. One for the cellar. - Ches Cook, FWC.

White peach, lemon rind, almond, fine flinty texture, and even a fair amount of flavour. Acidity is all zest and lemon/lime, pure length and stony feel. Has a little gloss, and a dab of spice, but what drive and persistence! A nutty sake-like quality finishes it off. Outstanding. Drink 2025-2030+. 95+ Points. Gary Walsh, The Wine Front.
