Jasper Hill Riesling 2024
The Jasper Hill Riesling tends to be outliner of Australian Riesling in a very positive way and the 2024 is no exception. It's full of juicy lemon with notes of citrus oil and ginger alongside. There's quite a bit going on here with s lemon pith texture and a real breadth and intensity of fruit weight on the palate. The acidity keeps the fruit in line and there's great length on the finish, it wouldn't be out of place in a line up of dry German rieslings with its intensity and energy. - Cameron Roebuck, FWC.
Brilliant yellow colour with the usual aromatic citrus notes. Occasional lees stirring during fermentation gives a weighted riesling with a long finish. Think lemon in all its form, juice, zest and pith. Underlining limes and slight peachy fruit characters, finishing with a hint of viscosity. A wine to drink now but the natural zingy acidity gives this wine long lasting potential. Screw-cap sealed, 13.5% alcohol. Winery's notes.
