Domaine Tessier Meursault 2021
Arnaud and Catherine Tessier are the forces behind this quietly ambitious 7.5-hectare Meursault domaine, an estate blessed with choice parcels in some of the commune’s finest sites. Rigorously worked soils, moderate yields and long, slow élevage in mostly used barrels are the rudiments of the approach. The result is concentrated but tensile wines that unfold slowly and reward bottle age.
- William Kelly, Wine Advocate.
From 50+ year old vines in two lieux- dits: “Les Corbins”, “Les Millerands”. 12 months in 18% new oak plus another 6 months in stainless steel. The nose displays a fine array of white flowers, peach, white fruits, fresh almond skin and a hint of butter. It has a great tension on the palate, however, it is still very open with a beautiful volume and density. The finish is round, rich and fresh.
