Bouchard Meursault 1er Cru 'Genevrieres' 2020
From an incredible 2.7 ha holding which makes Bouchard the largest owner.
A ripe and naturally exotic nose features notes of Asian-style tea, anise, white peach and a whiff of fennel. The relatively generously proportioned medium weight flavors exude a subtle bead of minerality on the very dry and youthfully austere finish that also possesses a touch of bitter citrus character. Lovely juice and this is really quite classy. Outstanding. Drink 2028+. 91-93 Points. Allen Meadows, Burghound.
The 2020 Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières wafts from the glass with aromas of citrus oil, crisp Anjou pear, hazelnuts, white flowers and freshly baked bread. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and enveloping, with an ample core of fruit, terrific concentration, bright acids and a long, saline finish. 92-94 Points. William Kelley, The Wine Advocate.
