The 2022 Pinot Noir Wendling Vineyard Block E is crazy, wild and captivating. All the elements are so well balanced. Soaring aromatics meld into red/purplish fruit, blood orange, cinnamon, mint and dried flowers. Deep and layered yet light on its feet, the 2022 is a magical, sensual wine that captures all the hedonistic and intellectual senses. From vines planted in 2010, the 2022 Pinot Noir Wendling Vineyard Block E has singular aromas of blueberry, pomegranate, violet, blood orange, conifer forest and iron. The medium-bodied palate has a concentrated core of perfumed fruit framed by velvety tannins and vibrant acidity, and it has a long, expressive finish. 590 cases produced. 95 points, drink 2025-2035, Erin Brooks.
