Michel Couvreur 'Single Single' Malt Whisky
$215
Scottish grain, distilled in Scotland and then transported to France for lengthy aging in sherry casks in a very humid cellar in Burgundy. (Due to being aged outside of Scotland, this cannot legally be called 'Scotch'). These humid cellars help to produce a beautifully elegant and refined style of Single Malt. Often I find Scotch to show too much alcohol for my palate, but unusually, the alcohol does not show here, which I delighted by. Refined, unusual, rare. 45% Alcohol. - Ian Cook, FWC.
