Mount Majura Silurian Brut 2023

Mount Majura is one of the few producers in Canberra city with the estate sitting in the north of the city, a great cellar door worthy of a visit if you ever get the chance. While their Tempranillo's are what they are most well known for their Silurian sparkling has been a constant in the shop for well over 5 years now. Equal parts Chardonnay and Pinot Noir it spends 18 months on its fine lees which is 3 months more than the minimum ageing requirement in Champagne. Bright green apple with a fine soft bead, it's a lighter style, very fresh with a slight chalky texture. Very enjoyable and quality drinking at this price point. Cameron Roebuck, FWC.
