Forjas del Salnes Leirana Albarino 2023

Organically grown old vine Albarino from coastal Rias Baixas in Gallicia, North West Spain. A lovely expression of the grape and with supple texture, salinity and minerality. Notes of stonefruit and lemon citrus however it's the mouthfeel that is strongest in defining the wine. 50% matured in stainless tank and 50% in oak foudre allowing both vitality and depth on the palate. There is a quality present that shows a considered approach in the vineyard and winery. Highly recommended. Mitch Milicich, FWC.
