Riley Harrison - What Can't He Do?
On Sunday Feb 4th, the 25th edition of the Larmandier Bernier Cup was help at Trumper Oval in Paddington. For those of you who don’t know, this is the annual cricket game between ourselves and Best Cellars of East Sydney, and for the first time in 10 years, the trophy came back to Paddington, where it belongs.
Always a very big day on the social calendar, the game brings people together from across the industry. For our team, Ned Hewitson and Riley Harrison flew in from Adelaide, Paul Lipscombe flew up from Tassie and local industry darlings such as Alex Kirkwood (Shell House), Sean McManus (Real Wines) and Nick Spencer all made appearances.
It was Riley Harrison who really shone though, with a bagful of runs, a wicket or two and a torn hamstring, he was everywhere. A couple of days following the match, in an effort to justify the trip to Sydney, he limped into the store to pour us his new releases.
His new wines are fantastic, they are so lively, bright and unmanipulated. They’re sharply priced and so perfect for summer drinking – we can’t recommend them highly enough.
