'To my palate, this is a baby Gigondas and is a superb value!' John Gilman, View from the Cellar
Can't disagree with John Gilman's comment, certainly bats well above it's designation and would fool many for a Gigondas. Lovely added degree over ripeness here, sitting more in ripe plum, cherry liquor and black liquorice. Medium to full bodied, lovely upfront plush fruit is paired with chewy, dark chocolate like tannin. Loads of charm yet seriousness too. Jeremy Muller, FWC.
A bloodied crimson in the glass with a lifted fragrance of ripe florals and complex spice. Orange peel, balsamic and garrigue on the palate filled with great depth and complexity. Full of old world charm, medium bodied with power. Mitch Milicich, FWC.
