Riley Harrison 'Fleur de la Lune' Grenache 2023
$40
Barossa grenache done with a lighter touch, but not without paying homage to the general gist of the region. Hence, richness, but lift and freshness is the motif. Sweet cherry, sarsaparilla notes, salted liquorice, garam masala spice, old school ink, pipe tobacco and cinnamon going on. Hearty in the palate, a good slosh to texture and sense of concentration; curiously fresh around this, a crisp edge to tannins and vibrant, minerally acidity to finish. It?s got heart and warmth but lifts beautifully and prettily. Kinda ideal, really. Drinkability is real good. 92 points. - Mike Bennie, Wine Front.
