Radikon RS Rosso 2020 Magnum

A blend of Merlot and Pignolo. Maceration occurs in old oak vats for a couple of weeks before fermenting in the usual big old oak for 18 months.

Deep crimson colour with beautiful black fruits, dark plum, mulberry, graphite and hints of dried herb. Excellent concentration yet sincerely clean! Plush mid palate fruit is supported by a wash of gravely tannin. It's powerful yet there is plenty of refinement. Served blind, Ches and I guessed very good quality Bordeaux - a huge surprise when it was revealed it was Radikon! First time trying and would never have thought it was from a natural wine legend.
