From Springs Hill in Blewitt Springs. Spends 100 days on skins in a ceramic egg, then into a seasoned barrique for five months. If my maths is correct, there's about 50 six packs produced.
Red cherry, orange peel and amaro, white pepper, dusty spices and herbs, a subtle choc-nut glow. It's medium-bodied, cranberry and strawberry, distinctly dusty and amaro-laced giving it a pleasantly bitter edge, tannin is very good - all crushed stone - and the finish is bright, crisp and tangy, with plentiful pumice stone tannin grip. It strikes me as being distinctly Italianate in character, and if you like a wine laden with amaro/orange peel, then this will hold great appeal. 94 points, drink 2024-2031+, Gary Walsh, The Wine Front.
