The ‘By Wilimee’ label is Ben’s negociant project where he buys in fruit to produce wine at a more accessible price point. Here he is working with Tumbarumba fruit and has created a beautifully fruit-forward, bright and slurpable rendition of Pinot Noir. It’s very well made with succulence and generosity, yet still enough tannin to bring some shape to the wine. At this price it certainly over-delivers. – Ches Cook, Five Way Cellars.

Pinot Noir sourced from Tumbarumba in the South West Slopes of Kosciuszko. Ben’s parents planted one of the first vineyards in the region in the early 1980’s. This fruit is sourced from an old school mate’s vineyard as sadly his parents old vineyard is not available. The wine was made and treated very gently to ensure fine, elegant tannins and easy drinkability. 100% Whole berries, 10% new French oak. Natural ferment, time on lees in barriques prior to bottling.
