Abeica 'Chulato' Rioja Joven 2022

Mostly Tempranillo with a splash of Garnacha - no oak used. The grapes are mostly from a vineyard planted in 1952! Rare to see such old vine material go into an entry cuvee, I'd say it's a reason for it's quality at the price.

Bright and fresh Rioja here. Loads of cherry cola, sasparilla, juicy red fruits and a hint of dried herb. Vibrant in the palate though soft in all the right spots. A very pleasant amaro like bitterness to close, balancing out the succulent fruit. Jeremy Muller, FWC.
