New Releases from Jasper Hill
"No Shiraz in Australia has reflected its site and its vintage with more fidelity down the years than Ron Laughton's Jasper Hill, the wine which first sprung a spotlight onto Heathcote." – Andrew Jefford, Decanter
"Simply try the majestically profound Emily’s Paddock, or Georgia’s Paddock Shiraz and you will find some of Australia’s greatest Shiraz, ultimate expressions of the terroir of the Heathcote region." – Oz Clarke
Jasper Hill Riesling 2019
One of my favourite Australian Rieslings. Fleshier and richer (although still totally dry) when compared to wines out of the Clare Valley. There is a nice concentration of citrus-centred flavours here. Lemon balm, lemon curd, some wax – all delicious with ample generosity. This is also the first time this wine has been bottled under screwcap! Well done to Emily for convincing her dad it was time to change. – Ches Cook, FWC.
'Brilliant light yellow with a tinge of green in the glass. Extraordinarily lifted aromas of lemon juice and zest with a floral background precede in to a crisp, clean, natural acid palate of great length that acts as a perfect aperitif. Also carrying sufficient weight as usual to then match strong flavours. Delicious. Alcohol 11.5%.' Ron Laughton and Emily McNally, August 2020.
