Sordo Barolo Rocche di Castiglione 2021

From 60-year-old vines. Tasting the Sordo suite of wines with the importer was a fascinating exercise as we moved from the floral la Morra through to the muscular Castiglione Falletto, with the Rocche sitting towards the more concentrated end. So much concentration and complexity, redcurrants, raspberry, blackberry, tar, cranberry and blood orange. A wine of power with great concentration but all the structural supporting elements in place with ripe mouth coating tannin and salivating acidity.
