Canella Prosecco Superiore Conegliano Valdobbiadene 2018

Pieropan Soave 2018
Pieropan is by far the greatest producer in Soave and can be judged on his simplest Soave. It is very expressive and typical – predominately garganega with a little trebbiano di Soave. Pale straw with green reflections; the bouquet is rich in floral, almond and mineral scents. The fresh persistent palate is dominated by almond, apple and white flowers – crisp and fresh and perfect with shellfish risotto. Like our delicate Australian Semillon, this wine really benefits from its screwcap closure. FWC.

Ronco dei Tassi Pinot Grigio 2017

Pietradolce Etna Rosato 2017

Pietradolce Etna Rosso 2018
The noble Nerello Mascalese grape performs at its best at 500 metre altitude on the famed northern side of Mt Etna.
Pale colour, with lots of orange, cherry and fragrant spices. Light, yet complex and very mineral and persistent. Almost a little gamey/meaty complexity to add to its fresh acid length. Chill slightly for summer. Highly recommended. – Ian Cook, FWC

Umani Ronchi 'Podere' Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2018
The Umani Ronchi version of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo is intended to be an interpretation of this vine which aims to exalt its varietal characteristics and its freshness, combining these qualities with just the right amount of charm and softness. The result is a very pleasant and drinkable wine which goes with many different kinds of dishes. Semi opaque red color. Earthy notes with light scents of cassis and blackurrant. Dusty light tannin. Remarkable value.

Marcarini 'Lasarin' Langhe Nebbiolo 2018
Outstanding entry level Nebbiolo. Year-in, year-out we are left wondering how Marcarini produces this quality of wine at this price. The 2018 is perhaps slightly softer in the mid-palate with a roundness to the fruit. However true Nebbiolo character is still very evident, with a pale colour and some tight acid running through the middle of the wine. Classic floral aromas and mainly red fruits on the palate, this is super value drinking and only medium-bodied in weight. – Ches Cook, FWC.
