Villebois Pinot Noir Val de Loire 2023

A bit of a surprise packet out of the Loire. There's quite a bit of fruit concentration in this, with real generosity to the mid-palate. Despite that, I enjoy this wine for its savoury edges, meaning it is not cloying or fruit-sweet, but well-rounded without being excessive., When so much inexpensive Pinot can be weedy and thin, this really over-delivers. - Ches Cook, FWC.
